Session Types
- Brown Bag Discussions are informal opportunities to discuss important teaching issues with colleagues. Bring your curiosity and commitment to making teaching a rewarding experience for us all.
- Take-a-Class Sessions allow you to experience part of a lesson by an outstanding IUB educator, followed by a discussion of the instructional approaches you experienced. Be ready to learn about a new subject while learning about innovative pedagogies.
- Ignite Talks are an energizing alternative to a traditional presentation. 20 slides, 15 seconds per slide, 5 minutes on stage: a rapid-fire and fun way to learn more about your colleagues' teaching.
- Panels provide an opportunity for small groups of instructors to explore a teaching topic together—ideal for participants in a faculty learning community to share what they learned.
- Details and expectations for other Friday session types are available on the proposal form.
