Announcing the Call for Applications to participate in ManyClasses, an IU-led collaborative research project investigating the generalizability of educational practices across a variety of college classes. HOLD THE DATE: CITL AI Orientation: Aug 21, 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

This one-day event supplements teaching orientation activities in graduate students’ home programs. Participants learn how to implement ideas about learning, motivation, equity, accountability, classroom management, technology, and deliberate practice with disciplinary skills into their lesson plans and assignment design.

HOLD THE DATE: Classroom Climate Workshops: Aug 20 & 22, 4 a.m. - 6 p.m.

This event is a required training of all new graduate student instructors per the 1990 Bloomington Faculty Council circular. This workshop helps new AIs to think about their role as instructors, orients graduate student instructors to compliance with Federal laws and IU policies regarding classroom inclusion and equity, and provides concurrent workshops addressing inclusive and equitable teaching practices.
