Da’Ja’Nay (Da’Ja’) Askew is an Equity and Inclusion Specialist who works with instructors and creates resources to promote inclusivity in learning environments. She is interested in highlighting student voices through narratives and storytelling while countering deficit models of minoritized communities through a Black Joy framework. She is a second-year PhD student in the Higher Education and Student Affairs program at IUB. Prior to joining CITL, Da’Ja’ was an instructor with the I Can Persist (ICP) STEM Initiative Program that centralized environmental and social justice concepts for women of color in STEM fields.
